Ramamurthy said Chief Minister Siddaramaiah was the only one who dared to install the statue of Karnataka’s first chief minister K C Reddy.</p>.<h3 class="Briefhead rtejustify">Anna DMK to support Congress</h3>.<p class="bodytext rtejustify">Karnataka Anna DMK has decided to extend its support to the ruling Congress in the upcoming May 12 Assembly elections in the state.</p>.<p class="bodytext rtejustify">Party state secretary K R Krishnaraju said he has directed the workers to strive towards the victory of the Congress candidates across the state.</p>.<h3 class="Briefhead rtejustify">Pre-poll survey gives Cong 118-128 seats</h3>.<p class="bodytext rtejustify">A new pre-poll survey by the Gurugram-based C fore has predicted a Congress victory in the May 12 Assembly elections.</p>.<p class="bodytext rtejustify">According to the survey, the Congress is expected to win 118-128 seats, while the BJP will get 63-73 and the JD(S) 29-36.</p>.<p class="bodytext rtejustify">The pre-poll survey was conducted between April 20-30 with 6,247 voters interviewed from 61 Assembly constituencies.</p>.<h3 class="Briefhead rtejustify">EC orders removal of BJP banners</h3>.<p class="bodytext rtejustify">The BJP district unit has been instructed by the Election Commission to remove the party buntings and banners put across the MGM College grounds in Udupi.</p>.<p class="bodytext rtejustify">The venue has been decorated for the scheduled programme of Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to the temple town on May 1.</p>.<p class="bodytext rtejustify">Permission was given only to put up banners and buntings for two hours prior to and after the visit of the prime minister.</p>.<p class="bodytext rtejustify">However, the BJP workers in the district went againt the directive and installed the banners on April 29. They were compelled to remove it following the electoral team’s instructions.</p>
