The Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) will contest the Lok Sabha elections in five constituencies in the state, reports DHNS from Mangaluru.
Speaking at the district-level convention of the party in Mangaluru on Sunday, national general secretary Abdul Majeed Mysuru said that the party would field candidates from Bengaluru, Dakshina Kannada, Mysuru-Kodagu and Bidar constituencies. He said that Ilyas Mohammed Thumbe would be the candidate for Dakshina Kannada LS constituency.
