<p>A pack of stray dogs reportedly killed a male deer near Chamundi Hill forest area on Friday.<br /><br /></p>.<p>An eyewitness said the stray dogs were chasing the deer near a resort on Bhakshi Chamappaji Road around 6 am. The deer was injured in the mouth and was running for life. The passersby shooed the dogs away, but the deer succumbed to injuries.<br /><br />A forest officer said the animal seemed to be in captivity and, probably, belonged to one of the religious institutions in the city. <br /><br />Notices would be served on the institutions to take measures to prevent the animals in their captivity from straying out, said the officer.</p>
