<p class="title">Three people were killed in a head-on collision between a car and a truck in Chikkamavanahalli village, Yellapur taluk on Tuesday morning. </p>.<p class="bodytext">The deceased have been identified as Vinayaka Hegde (40), Archana (35) and three-year old Shravani. They were in the car. Another child, also in the car, was injured and is admitted to hospital. </p>.<p class="bodytext">Vinayaka Hegde was an industrialist in Bengaluru. He recently relocated to Belagavi with family.</p>.<p class="bodytext">There originally hail from Araginamane in Sirsi taluk where they had come on a visit recently. They were returning home to Belagavi on Tuesday morning when the mishap occurred. The car was on the Hubballi route when an approaching lorry crashed into it.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Yellapur police have registered a case. </p>
