Two Kannada television artistes were killed on the spot and two others were seriously hurt in a head-on collision of the car they were seated in, and a parked lorry near Hanagavadi on NH-4.
The injured are being treated at a Davanagere hospital.
The passengers in the car were all Kannada TV employees, actors and presenters. They worked for a private channel.
The two deceased are music channel presenter Chandrashekhar (34), and actor Santoshi (24). Those hurt are Ramu and Sunitha.
They were on their way to Hubballi from Bengaluru when their car swerved off the highway and rammed into a parked truck. Harihar Rural police are investigating the case.
