<p>Leading specialty glass and ceramics-maker <a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/tags/corning-inc">Corning Inc</a> has announced a new generation of high strength glass cover for mobiles.</p><p><a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/india/tamil-nadu/corning-enters-india-to-produce-glass-for-smartphones-new-unit-to-come-up-in-kanchipuram-3079889">Corning's latest</a> Gorilla Glass Ceramic is said to deliver a far better drop performance on rough surfaces compared to competitive aluminosilicate glasses.</p><p>During the tests, Gorilla Glass Ceramic is said to have survived 10 repeated drops from one meter on asphalt-like rough surfaces.
