Tourism is picking up with a lot of footfalls over the last three days at the Kodagu Pravasi Utsav.

A large number of tourists visited Kodagu to be a part of Kodagu Pravasi Utsav on Sunday

They visited Raja Seat, Abbey-Mallali-Irpu Falls, Omkareshwara temple, Bhagamandala and Talacauvery. The homestays, resorts and lodges were full after five months of dull business.

People said that it is nice to see Kodagu recovering after the tragedy. They opined that the district administration should expedite the work on the construction of houses for the victims.

The cultural programmes held as a part of the Pravasi Utsav entertained the visitors at Gandhi Maidan.

The Sarigamapa team took the visitors to a musical world on Saturday night. Singers Supreeth Phalguni and Pushpa Aradhya sang ‘Jeeva Hoovagide...” which received cheers from the spectators. The team sang ‘Nee Nade Na...’, ‘I love you...’ and other songs.

Kulavadhu serial actress Dhanya danced to the tunes of “Sesamma Sesamma...” and later Sindhu Lokanath entertained the audience through her performance.

Bharatiya Vidyabhavana Kodagu Vidyalaya teachers presented a dance programme followed by flute recital of Herambha and Hemanth.

A dance ballet on ‘Veerayodha’ by specially abled children received a standing ovation from the audience.
