India’s first bamboo-made cricket bats, wickets to hit markets in Tripura

Tripura's Bamboo and Cane Development Institute (BCDI) and the North East Centre of Technology Application and Reach (NECTAR) claims to have created the country's first-ever bamboo-made cricket bat, following all of the industry's established protocols. These bats could be used in all forms of cricket. The product was created utilising locally-sourced material at Tripura's Bamboo and Cane Development Institute. The Chief Minister of Tripura Biplab Kumar Deb also appreciated BCDI and NECTAR for their idea.
