Germany conducts searches related to Hamburg Islamic Centre suspected of Hezbollah links

The searches come after Germany banned Hamas activities and related organisations.

The German interior ministry said on Thursday it was conducting searches of 54 objects in seven federal states related to the Islamic center in Hamburg.

The Islamic center of Hamburg is under suspicion of acting against a constitutional order and supporting the militant group Hezbollah, the ministry said.
