Crowley told reporters Tuesday.<br /><br />As preparations continue for the president's trip to India, he said, "We did take the opportunity to inform Indian Americans about our goals for the upcoming trip" at the people-to-people meeting organised by the State Department here last week.<br /><br />Crowley said to help the president set appropriate goals for the travel, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and several other senior officials - across the government- have made a number of trips to India "to set the stage for what we hope to be and expect to be a very successful trip by the president."<br /><br />Asked if anything new was expected to come out of Obama's first visit to India, he said: "Well, I am sure there will be something new" but would leave it to the White House to announce any agreements.</p>
