Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy, along with his brother and Public Works Department Minister H D Revanna, visited Sharada Peeta and participated in Pratyangira Homa held at Shakti Ganapathi Pradosha Yaga Shaale in Sringeri Mutt on Friday.

The yaga was held secretly and reporters were barred from entering the Yaga Shaale. After the Homa Poornahuthi, the chief minister and PWD minister visited Sharada temple, Shakti Ganapathi temple, Tora Ganapathi temple, Vridha Narasimha Swamy Adhishtana, Bettada Malahanikareshwara Sannidhi, Durgamba and Kalikamba temples and also met Mutt Pontiff Bharathi Theertha Swami.

Later, speaking to reporters, Kumaraswamy said there was slight variation in the health of Siddaganga Mutt Pontiff Shivakumaraswamy. He has been shifted to a hospital in Chennai.

“The state government will bear the expenses of treatment of the seer,” he added.

To a query on alleged black magic by a few state leaders to destabilise the state government, the chief minister said, “We are not scared of it. We have been holding yajna and yaga without keeping it a secret.”
