OnePlus during the launch of the OnePlus 7 revealed that the company intends to continue the OnePlus 6T sale in India. This is a common practice, as Apple, Samsung and other brands too, follow the same strategy, but offer the old devices for a reduced price.

Strangely, OnePlus 6T models are selling at a higher price than OnePlus 7 on Amazon India. It can be noted that 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model costs, Rs 37,999, Rs 5,000 more than the 8GB RAM + 128GB Storage (Rs 32,999).

Aforementioned OnePlus 6T variants are sold by different sellers -- Rocket Kommerce LLP and Sigma Online-- on Amazon India.

Deccan Herald contacted OnePlus India over the confusing pricing of the OnePlus 6T variants. In reply, the spokesperson said that the company will continue to sell OnePlus 6T until stock lasts. And when asked about the varying price, the company PR representative revealed that 8GB RAM model is being sold with a promotional offer by the partner seller, while the 6GB RAM variant will continue to be sold for MRP.

Since the generic OnePlus 7 is slated to go on sale in June, OnePlus is expected to slash the prices of all OnePlus 6T variants in coming days, so that it can be sold as a cheaper alternative.

So, consumers are advised to wait a little longer to buy OnePlus 6T for a lesser price or you can go for the OnePlus 7 in June. It's price starts at Rs 32,999.

For those unaware, the top-end OnePlus 7 Pro will go on sale on May 17. It sports 6.67-inch Quad HD+ FullView display with 90Hzs refresh rate and it has no notch.
