School principal M Lokesh has been arrested under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (Pocso) Act. He had allegedly misbehaved with the girls during the school trips, organised on December 29 and 30, 2018 and on January 14 and 15.

According to the police, the principal had also threatened the staff members. He was arrested as the girls' parents had filed a complaint with District ST Welfare Officer Krishnappa, who visited the school on Friday night.
