Action against illegal homestays: Minister

Tourism Minister Sa Ra Mahesh, who is also the district in-charge minister, warned of initiating stern action against illegal homestays in Kodagu.

After inaugurating his office chamber at the DC’s office complex in Madikeri on Friday, he said that the homestays were given a deadline to register themselves before August 2. But, many have not abided by it, he added.

He further said that he will listen to public grievances at his Madikeri office in the DC’ s complex on the second Friday of every month. Measures will be taken towards the development of tourism in Kodagu. Efforts will be made towards solving the problems in the district, added the minister.
