The police team probing into the mysterious death of Neha Shrama, a nanotechnology researcher whose body was found in the laboratory here on March 16, is in Delhi in connection with the investigation.

The team was dispatched late on Sunday night, police said, without giving any further detail.
Earlier on Sunday, a laptop was recovered from the bushes near the laboratory where the girl’s body was found, police said, without briefing about the information retrieved from it.
Neha, 23, was found dead under mysterious circumstances in her laboratory at a private university here.

Her body bearing multiple knife marks was found lying in a pool of blood, with her hands tied behind her back.

The incident had sparked protests by the college students, forcing police to lathicharge.
The students of the college, where Neha was enrolled for her PhD, took out a candlelight march in the city on Monday, demanding justice for the victim.

Meanwhile, the girl’s family members on Monday met chief minister Akhilesh Yadav, who was here to attend a function, and sought justice for their daughter.

Yadav assured them that the culprits will be brought before the law soon.
