Realme on Thursday (November 20) unveiled the Android flagship phone GT 8 Pro series in India.

The new device features a 6.79-inch 2K+ (1440 x 3136p) OLED display with a peak brightness of up to 7,000 nits.

It supports IP66+IP68+IP69 dust-and-water-resistance durability rating and comes with stereo speakers, dual SIM slots (type: nano), an infrared sensor, a type-C port, and an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.

Realme GT 8 Pro is powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, Qualcomm's latest and most powerful chipset to date. It comes with 3nm class 64-bit octa-core Oryon silicon. With a record peak clock speed of 4.6 GHz, it promises 20 per cent improvement in performance and 35 per cent better power efficiency. This means the devices will be able to deliver one hour and 48 minutes of additional gaming playtime on a phone compared to the previous chipset.

Additionally, Snapdragon 8 Elite comes paired with Adreno 840 GPU and R1 Graphics chip to deliver an enhanced gaming experience.

The device comes with Android 16-based Realme UI 7.0, 12GB / 16GB LPDDR5X RAM with 256GB / 512GB / 1TB (UFS 4.0 (GT8) / UFS 4.1 (GT8 Pro)) storage, and a massive 7,000mAh battery with 100W fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging capabilities.

The GT8 Pro boasts of triple-camera module-- 50MP Ricoh GR anti-glare main camera (with 1/1.56-inch sensor, OIS: Optical Image Stabilisation, f/1.8 aperture) with 50MP 116-degree ultra-wide camera with f/2.0 aperture) and 200MP (with 1/1.4-inch Samsung HP5 sensor, 3x periscope telephoto camera, f/2.6, 6x lossless zoom, up to 120x hybrid zoom) with LED flash.

On the front, it houses a 32MP (f/2.4) camera for selfies and video calling.

Realme also launched a special GT 8 Pro Dream Edition. It has collaborated with the world-renowned racing car Aston Martin Aramco F1 Team.

The Realme GT 8 Pro will be available in Diary White and Urban Blue. It comes in two variants-- 12GB RAM + 256GB storage and 16GB RAM + 512GB storage for Rs 72,999 and Rs 78,999. The special GT 8 Pro Dream Edition comes with 16GB RAM + 512GB storage configuration for Rs 79,999.
