The Android-powered phone comes packed the device with powerful MediaTek processor, a feature-rich camera and a big battery to ensure it lasts more than a day. Here are my thoughts on the latest premium Android phone.

Design, build quality and display

Vivo's new X200T shares several design elements of the latest flagship X300 and the predecessor before it.

It flaunts massive circular camera deco, which takes inspiration from DSL camera lens, but far slimmer protrusion.

Our review variant is stellar black, and truly lives up to its name. Vivo X200T looks lovely in the sunlight. There is also seaside lilac and it looks even better.

The device flaunts metallic frame around the edges with matte finish and the back panel has a beautiful smooth cover with a frosted glass finish. The phone is perfectly designed to offer good grip for the hand to hold it firmly.

Vivo X200T is not just pretty looking phone, it has several durability features to last longer with the owner. Besides radiant finish, it has corrosion resistance coating as well.

Further, it has IP68+IP69 rating and can withstand high pressure water jets and also be able to survive under water for close to 1.5 metres (around five feet) for close to 30 minutes.

Also, the company has incorporated screen-guard in addition to Schott Xensation glass cover on the display and also offers free silicone case cover. It ensures the device is well protected to survive an accidental fall on a hard surface.

Vivo's device sports a 6.67-inch 1.5K (2800×1260 p) AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is great for multimedia consumption. Even though, it lacks anti-reflective coating, the screen is very legible to view messages and news feeds on social media platforms outdoors. It supports up to 5000 nits of peak brightness.

At night, users can turn on eye safety features to reduce the emission of blue light and lessen the strain on the eyes when reading e-books or long-form articles.

It also features a Type-C USB port, stereo speakers, Hi-Res audio support, dual-SIM slots, and an in-display optical fingerprint sensor. The latter works amazingly good. One of the best in its class.

As advertised, the device remained cool even after playing games for more than half hour indoors. The device managed effectively dissipates heat during heavy-duty tasks such as video recording or running Gemini AI or any other generative Artificial Intelligence (gen AI) applications. It remained stable and ran smoothly without breaking a sweat.

The device runs Android 16-based OriginOS 6. Though it has numerous third-party apps, there is more than enough space to install hundreds of new apps and store thousands of photos and videos recorded on phone's camera.

The device comes with a base storage of 256GB and there is also 512GB storage variant as well. Both come with Universal Flash Storage (UFS) 4.1 class.

It is guaranteed to get five years of Android OS updates and seven years of security software support for protection against emerging cyber threats.

As far battery life is concerned, it can deliver more than a full day of battery life. Even with extreme gaming and ever binge watching TV series or movies, it still be able to last till the night.

Like iPhones, Vivo X200T's camera has lens flare issue during night time. It is caused by internal reflection in the camera module. As you can see from the samples below, there are greet dots near light sources like street lamps. It only happens outdoors. I didn't see any issues indoors.
