West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday met veteran BJP leader L K Advani and suspended-BJP MP Kirti Azad in Parliament, a day after she said "potato and potato chips are not same" to praise BJP senior leaders and Union Ministers Sushma Swaraj and Rajnath Singh.

Mamata spent around 20 minutes in Advani's office soon after she reached the Parliament House.

"I met Advaniji and asked about his health," she said.

Later, cricketer-turned MP Azad made a visit to Trinamool Congress office in the Parliament and met Mamata for about ten minutes.

On Tuesday, she had met BJP baiters Shatrughnan Sinha, a party MP, and former BJP member Yashwant Sinha and senior lawyer Ram Jethmalani, a Rajya Sabha MP, who was previously associated with BJP.

The Trinamool Congress chief's visit to Advani and her public remarks that she is not meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi was seen as extension of her comments on Tuesday when she said "potato and potato chips are not same" to differentiate the BJP leadership.
