Some 32,000 online forms have been submitted so far.<br /><br />“The number is slightly bloated and may come down by 15 per cent as students have made both online and over-the-counter submissions to be on the safer side. Monday is a crucial day. We advise students not to panic as post offices are also accepting forms. They should make use of that,” said a senior DU official.<br /><br />Last year, the total number of forms sold was 1.8 lakh and some 1.3 lakh were submitted.<br />According to the official, Saturday saw a huge rush and Monday will also see a huge crowd. <br /><br />“We have opened more submission counters as there will be more number of students who will be coming to submit instead of buying,” said the official.<br />On Monday, online sale and submission of forms will be till 5 pm. <br /><br />Over-the-counter forms can be submitted in 10 university centres and 12 head post offices between 10 am and 1 pm for general category students. <br /><br />SC/ST candidates<br /><br />For Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes candidates, no online forms are available. Over-the-counter forms will be available at Arts Faculty, North Campus; office of the dean of students’ welfare, Shyam Lal College and Rajdhani College from 10 am to 2 pm. <br /><br />Students applying through sports and extra curricular activity quota will have to go to individual colleges to collect forms and check which ECA activity and sports the college is offering.<br /><br />DU introduced online form system from this admission season, though initial technical glitches were reported, following which the system gathered speed.<br /><br />Cut-off list<br /><br />The first cut-off list will be announced on June 26. <br /><br />The School of Open Learning is expecting an increase in admission once admissions for regular courses are closed. <br /><br />“We already have 1,500 students applying for various courses. Our online form system is expected to start on Monday,” said H C Pokhriyal, executive director of School of Open Learning.<br /><br />The admission process of SOL started on June 1 and will go on till September.<br /><br /><br /></p>
