<p>Former soccer ace David Beckham has described Queen Elizabeth II as 'the most amazing woman'.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Beckham, 39, who admits that he was raised in a patriotic family, said that getting the opportunity to meet the Queen was one of the best things that he has ever done, reported Femalefirst.<br /><br />Beckham went to Buckingham Palace in 2003 when he was awarded an OBE.<br /><br />"(Queen Elizabeth) is the most amazing woman. I'm a real traditionalist. I'm a real royalist. The fact that I've been to Buckingham Palace and I've been able to meet the Queen, that's the best thing I've ever done. She's amazing.<br /><br />"My grandparents brought me up to be a real royalist. They would make us sit down on Christmas Day and watch the Queen's speech and they would take us to the changing of the guard," he said.<br /><br />Beckham enjoyed a two decade football career before he called time at the end of the 2012-13 season. His career had seen him play for Manchester United, Real Madrid and LA Galaxy, as well as captaining the England side.<br /><br />Now that Beckham has hung up his boots he says that he is looking forward to what lies ahead.<br /><br />"I wouldn't say I have a bucketlist... I'm relatively young. You definitely start to embrace things a lot more."</p>
