<p>A temple employee found dead on Sunday morning was killed for forcing an 18-year-old youth into homosexual relations with him, police said on Monday.<br /><br /></p>.<p>He was nabbed in Sarai Kale Khan during the wee hours of Monday.<br />The victim, a 42-year-old sanitation worker, at a Jain temple in south Delhi, was found with around 30 stab injuries.<br /><br />The accused had repeatedly stabbed him even on his private organs as the victim undressed to have sex.<br /><br />Murderer Rahul Sharma was nabbed even as he was preparing to flee to his village in UP’s Badaun district.<br /><br />Police said his involvement in the murder was confirmed from sharp injuries on his hands, face and chest which he had sustained when the victim fought back during the murderous assault.<br /><br />“He was hiding his bandaged hands in his pocket when we caught him,” said a senior police officer.<br /><br />Victim Hanuman Pandey had been employed by the Digambar Jain Temple in Bhogal to clean the temple premises.<br /><br />He had been allotted a room in a nearby apartment while his wife and children lived in Sarai Kale Khan.<br /><br />Pandey’s naked body with several stab wounds was discovered by the temple security guard on Sunday morning when he did not report to work at his usual time.<br /><br />Police were clueless about the killer’s identity and the motive behind the murder.<br />Police received a tip-off in the evening that Sharma was involved in the murder, upon which a search for him in Sarai Kale Khan was launched.<br /><br />Killer arrested<br />He was arrested hours later. He broke down and confessed after police questioned him sternly over his unsatisfactory answers about injuries on his body.<br /><br />“The accused claimed that Pandey was into homosexual relations with many young boys. Sharma had come in contact with him three months ago and since then, he was being regularly pressurised to visit him at his home for sex. Whenever Sharma refused, he was threatened that Pandey’s friends would beat him up,” said the officer.<br /><br />Sharma allegedly purchased a knife a month ago to eliminate Pandey. When Pandey visited his shop on Saturday to invite him for sex at his Bhogal room, Sharma carried the knife along.<br /><br />“As soon as Pandey undressed himself, Sharma slashed his neck from behind. But Pandey fought back during which Sharma suffered injuries in the hands and other body parts. But Sharma repeatedly stabbed him, killing him on the spot,” said the officer. <br />The accused then fled after changing into Pandey’s clothes.<br /></p>
