BJP luring MLAs, says CM

Last Updated 15 December 2018, 14:12 IST

Mocking the BJP, Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy said in Chikkamagaluru that the BJP which was claiming to free the country from Congress is now moving to the doorsteps of the Congress MLAs.

Speaking to reporters on Saturday, he said, “The BJP is engaged in luring the Congress MLAs. The BJP is in a desperate condition now. Their leaders have no moral right to discuss on the democracy. The BJP leaders are luring the elected representatives to join them and thereby destabilising the entire system.”

Defending the use of the word “revolt,” he said that the BJP has been projecting the use of the word as a crime. The BJP leaders are misleading the people that the coalition government is not stable.

“I have knowledge on what B S Yeddyurappa, his son and Shobha Karandlaje have told JD(S) MLAs on September 21 and where the MLAs were invited. There was a conspiracy to lure Sringeri MLA T D Raje Gowda. All attempts are being made to topple the coalition government formed in the democratic setup,” said the chief minister.

Yeddyurappa’s statement on giving “good news” is not new. There is no truth behind the allegations that Congress leaders are posing a hurdle to the coalition government. The coalition government is stable, he reiterated.
