Apple has named its veteran executive Michel Coulomb as new head of sales in India.  The announcement comes after Sanjay Kaul stepped down from the post with immediate effect. Apple has recently had a bad quarter, which many claim to be its worst in a few years, with further pressure building in as new Goods and Services Tax (GST) made all its phones more expensive.

Coulumb is well aware of the Indian market, owing to his long stint in the region. Coulomb, the new Head of Sales – India, has been with Apple for over 15 years. He recently led the sales team in South Asia, overseeing growth across diverse markets. Coulomb has also led the Middle East, Turkey and Africa sales team which saw revenues double with new partnerships.
