<p>The consumers of power distribution company BSES will be eligible for an annual accidental insurance cover worth Rs 1 lakh on payment of their electricity bills for three consecutive months through e- wallet Paytm.<br /><br />Nearly 40 lakh consumers of BSES Rajdhani Power (BRPL) and BSES Yamuna Power (BYPL) can get the free Rs 1 lakh personal accidental insurance if they pay their electricity bills through Paytm before the due date for three consecutive months, said a spokesperson of the power discom.<br /><br />The scheme will continue till August 2018. Those consumers who have paid their bills in May, June and July 2017 through Paytm, will also be eligible for the scheme.<br /><br />The scheme is being launched by Paytm exclusively for BSES consumers, he said.<br /><br />The eligible consumers will receive an SMS from the insurance company after the payment of three monthly bills through Paytm, in the first half of the subsequent month.<br /><br />The insurance policy will be issued only after the consumers reply in affirmative, said the spokesperson.</p>
