LNJ Denim eyes South foray

Briefing reporters, Chief Executive Officer Y C Gupta said riding on strong volume-led growth in both yarn and fabric segments, RSWM Ltd recorded net profit of Rs 123 crore in 2010-11.

Correspondingly, LNJ Denim proposes to invest about Rs 150 crore in 2011-12, for expanding its ring spinning capacity by 14,400 spindles of Zinser, Germany and 960 open end rotors of Schlafhorst from Germany.

“As of now we produce about 1,500 ton of yarn and 15 lakh metres of denim fabrics per month and look forward to double in next two years with an investment of Rs 200 crore” Gupta said. The company also unveiled new denim like oil and water repellent finish, fire retardant in which the chemical is impregnated into the cotton fibre to create self extinguishing property.
