Markets rebound in early trade despite tariff squeeze

Markets rebounded in early trade on Friday despite 50% US tariffs coming into effect for India from Wednesday.

Equity benchmark index Sensex climbed 197.11 points to 80,277.68.

Nifty was up 63.45 points to 24,564.35.
