<p>Hyderabad: Telangana has secured a major deal with McDonald's as the global fast food chain has decided to establish its Global Capability Center (GCC) in Hyderabad. </p><p>The agreement was finalised on Wednesday in a meeting between McDonald's chairman and CEO Chris Kempczinski, President of Global Business Services Skye Anderson, Chief Global Impact Officer Jon Banner, and Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, according to the Chief Minister's Office (CMO).</p><p>Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Kempczinski closed a substantial partnership spanning several areas. Reddy expressed delight that McDonald's chose Hyderabad for its Global Office in India. The Global Office is planned with an initial workforce of 2,000 employees.</p><p>The Chief Minister highlighted the state government's "exceptional" skilling initiatives implemented over the past 15 months and encouraged McDonald's to leverage the Young India Skills University for trained employees, both for its Global Office and restaurant operations nationwide.</p><p>McDonald's currently operates 38 outlets in Telangana through its Indian business partner and plans to add three-four new locations annually, including in tier-2 and tier-3 towns. The Chief Minister offered to source McDonald's entire agricultural produce requirements from the local farming community, which would boost the state's agricultural economy and increase farmers' incomes.</p><p>Kempczinski briefed the Chief Minister about McDonald's community development programs worldwide and assured deeper implementation of such initiatives in Telangana in consultation with the government.</p>
