Modi to meet top CEOs in Maharashtra mega summit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with top CEOs at the sidelines of the Magnetic Maharashtra Convergence 2018 Global Investors Summit 2018 on Sunday.

After the inauguration of the week-long mega-event at the MMRDA Grounds at the Bandra-Kurla Complex on Sunday, Modi, accompanied by his team and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, will be meeting the top CEOs.

Flagship projects, including the Mumbai metro, Mumbai-Nagpur Super Communication Expressway, the Mumbai Coastal Road, Mumbai Trans-Harbour Link and Navi Mumbai International Airport will be showcased at the summit and exhibition.

While the summit will be held from February 18-20, the exhibition would be held from February 18-23 .

Top ministers and officials of the Centre and the Maharashtra government are expected to attend the event besides business icons like Mukesh Ambani, chairman and managing director, Reliance Industries, Anand Mahindra, chairman, Mahindra Group, Richard Branson, chairman, Virgin Hyperloop, Edward Monser, president, Emerson, Tonino Lamborghini, president, Tonino Lamborgini SpA.

Representives of foreign governments like Karin Roding, State Secretary to the Minister, Government of Sweden and Bardish Chagger, Minister of Small Business and Tourism, Waterloo, Canada will, too, attend the event.

NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant will also be present.

With the   tagline #MadeForBusiness, it is one of the big events that Mumbai will witness post the prime minister's 'Make in India' initiative in February 2016.
