<p>The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) will issue Rs 200 denomination notes on Friday, coinciding with the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi.<br /><br />The new Rs 200 denomination notes in Mahatma Gandhi (new) series, will bear the signature of RBI Governor Dr Urjit R Patel and will be issued from select RBI offices, and some banks.<br /><br />The new notes will have a motif of Sanchi Stupa on the reverse, depicting the country's cultural heritage. The base colour of the note will be bright yellow.<br /><br />The note also comprises other designs and geometric patterns aligning with the overall colour scheme, both at the obverse and reverse.<br /><br /></p>
