United Bank of India (UBI), on Monday, said that it has for the first time crossed Rs 1 lakh crore business at the end of the second quarter on a year-on-year basis while its net profit touched Rs 83.83 crore during the quarter ending on September 30.
The total business at Rs 1,05,959 crore, recording a 41.4 per cent y-o-y growth saw the bank cornering a half-yearly net profit of Rs 154.11 crore as against Rs 184.71 crore registered during the full fiscal of 2008-09.
