JOIN USA 27-year-old housewife and her 11-month-old daughter were found dead under mysterious circumstances at their residence in Hoysala Nagar in Kamakshipalya on Thursday.
According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Pallavi. The daughter had not been named yet. Pallavi, a native of Doddaballapur, was married to Balaji two years ago. Balaji works in a private company in Jeevan Bima Nagar.
Pallavi was suspected to be strangled, while her daughter was found dead in a bucket of water in the bathroom.
The incident came to light when one of their neighbours, who went to their house in the afternoon, found Pallavi lying on the floor.
They informed Balaji, who rushed to his house and found them dead. They also alerted the police, who found strangulation marks on Pallavi's neck and blood oozing from the mouth, said the police.
When the cops enquired with the neighbours, it came to light that the couple were having a frequent quarrel, as Balaji used to come home late every day. It was also suspected that he might have murdered them for some personal reasons.
However, Balaji claimed that he did not kill his wife and daughter.
Other family members and relatives will also be questioned, a police officer said.
