Palike officials seize banned plastic

The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike officials on Wednesday raided 12 shops in the East Zone and seized eight quintals of banned plastic materials.

The Palike officials also seized 300 quintals of plastic from various shops in Central Mall in the Mahadevapura Zone and imposed a penalty of Rs three lakh on errant shopkeepers
A similar raid was conducted on 12 shops near UB City and 500 quintals of plastic was seized. The officials slapped a fine of Rs 5.05 lakh on the  shopkeepers.
