The state government on Friday appointed senior IAS officer Rakesh Singh the managing director of the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL).
A 1989-batch officer, Singh will have much on his plate as he is the additional chief secretary of water resources and urban development departments. He is also the BBMP administrator. Singh will replace Ajay Seth, who is on central deputation as secretary of the Department of Economic Affairs.
