RGUHS to establish administrative training centre

Last Updated 06 September 2018, 21:14 IST

The Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science (RGUHS) is prepared to start an administrative training centre to bring uniformity in academics and administration.

The varsity management would start the centre this year to avoid differences in the working style of its employees.

“Bringing uniformity is our motto,” RGUHS vice chancellor Dr S Sachidananda reiterated.

“The newly appointed staff or faculty should mandatorily go through the training period soon after they report for duty. We’ll be focusing on business, teaching and research methodologies. Also, the new faculty will be trained to set the question papers and for evaluation. With all these, employees in our university will be aware of the
basics of everything,” he added.

Dr Sachidananda was addressing the varsity’s Teachers’ Day event, where eminent teachers in various subjects of the health sciences were honoured. “We’re working out the plan (for the centre). Most likely, it’ll be functional this year. We feel the duration (of the training programme) should be for at least two weeks,” the vice chancellor said.
