Student knocked down by road roller

A-20-year-old student on her way to college was killed on the spot after a road roller hit her bike from behind at Huskur near Electronics City on Tuesday. The driver of the road roller fled from the scene after the accident.

The deceased has been identified as Laya, daughter of Lokesh Reddy and a resident of Bommasandra. She was studying her first-year B.Sc in a private college near Electronics City.

Police said that Laya was going to her college on her Honda Activa Scooter around 8.30 am near Bommasandra Circle when the road roller knocked her down.

Traffic on Hosur Road was affected for a while.

Lokesh Reddy has filed a complaint of rash and negligent driving against the driver who is yet to be identified.
