Royals of Mysore who have been firm on getting the  landed property that belongs to them have got a support in an organisation.

Workers of Sri Maharshi Valmiki Nayakara Yuva Vedike on Thursday staged a protest in front of the bust of Mahatma Gandhiji near Law Courts complex, and tore the portraits of BJP MLC Go Madhusudhan, besides beating the same in disgust with footwears, for raking up the issue against the interest of the royal family.

Led by the president of the vedike, V Lokesh (Piya) the workers demanded the government to seriously look into the petition of Pramodadevi Wadiyar wife of royal scion Srikantadatta Narasimharaja Wadiyar. The MLC without adequate knowledge has been arguing against the claim of the royal family. Moreover, he doesn’t have any moral right to question the rights of Wadiyars.

On the other hand, medical education and district-in-charge minister S A Ramdas who has announced of demanding for judicial inquiry into the incident, should ensure justice for Wadiyars. The government should at least consider the plea of the royal family for the enormous contribution of the erstwhile rulers to the society, the release added.
