JOIN USDemanding action to be initiated against a PSI for abusing and assaulting Lakkavalli Police Station constable Shivanna, Shivanna’s wife Asha along with her mother-in-law and two children staged a protest in front of Ajjampura police station on Friday.
Asha accused PSI Rafiq of allegedly assaulting and abusing Shivanna during the bandobast for Bhaktanakatte Junjappa Swamy Jatre at Ajjampura recently. She said that police have failed to receive the complaint.
Shivanna’s wife, children and mother said that they will not leave the venue until a case is registered against Rafiq.
She said that Shivanna had been posted to Lakkavalli Police Station for the last one year. When he returned on November 23 after duty, he complained of chest pain and later narrated the incident.
As his chest pain increased, Shivanna was shifted to Tarikere government hospital.
