Elegant: Models in Vikram Phandis’ collection.

The second day of Blenders Pride Fashion Tour started off with a bang.

The show opened with the collection of designer Gavin Miguel. Actress Sonakshi Sinha stormed the runway for the designer looking stunning in a shimmery golden gown.

Though she tripped off on the steps, she was on her heels in no time walking the ramp with confidence and panache.

Gavin's show was all about luxury and retro modernism. The clothes had voluminous flares with edgy crystal embellishments and were in deep evening colours like black, blue, indigo, red, orange and brown.

The show started with models showing metallic black and white gowns which soon transcended into shimmery deep blue which created almost a magical effect on the ramp. The show was not just about the silhouettes but the drama created by mixing the colours. The flaming reds and orange looked gorgeous and what couldn't be ignored was the fluidity of the gowns which made them look larger than life.

The models also sported jackets which created a sexy chic look – denoting the modern woman.  Rahul and Gunjan were next in line with their collection The metaphoric

The men walked the ramp in formal wear, all of which was in dark tones. Blue was a popular shade on the ramp and the collection tried to create a great evening look without too many accessories.

Designer Asmita Marwa’s collection, titled Mediterranean Knots, was inspired
by the free-spirited world traveller.

The collection was undoubtedly chic and bohemian in style. Printed pants, loose tops, sarongs, flowy dresses and overalls formed the heart of the collection. The clothes were easy on the eyes and had a definite summery feel to them.

Red, orange and white remained the popular tones and the materials used were satins and sensuous chiffon. Actress Ramya was the showstopper for Asmita and she walked the ramp in a beautiful red dress.

The grand finale was as dramatic as one could imagine. Vikram Phandis enchanted the audience with a kaleidoscope of fabrics, colours and embellishments. His collection celebrated the vivacious artistic motifs on gentle fluid drapes in vivid colours.

The show came to an end with actor Zayed Khan walking the ramp in a rich and colourful sherwani, dazzling the audience with his style.  High on glitz and glamour, the fashion tour was a grand success among the City's fashionistas.
