JOIN USSpeaking to media persons here on Thursday, General Secretary Naveenkumar P V informed that Sri Poornatmananda Puree Swamiji from Amrithapuri Kollam will address the gathering.
Srimata Amrithanandamayee, Mangalore Matadhipathy Brahmacharirni Srimangalamrutha Chaitanya will be present on the occasion. Higher Education Minister Dr V S Acharya will preside, he added.
Udupi-Chikmagalur MP D V Sadananda Gowda, Udupi MLA Raghupathy Bhat, Kaup MLA Lalaji R Mendon, Udupi CMC President Kirankumar, Industrialist Pramodh Madhwaraj, Former MP Vinaykumar Sorake will be chief guests of the occasion, he added.
The programme will be preceded by a huge procession from Board High School to Bannanje. The rituals ‘Paduka Pooja,’ ‘Sathsanga,’ ‘Bhajana’ and ‘Aarati’ will be performed on the occasion.
In Mangalore
The birthday of Amma will also be celebrated at Boloor Brahmasthanam grounds in Mangalore on October 10.
Speaking to mediapersons in Mangalore on Wednesday, Mata Amritanandamayi Seva Samithi President Dr Sanath Hegde said that senior disciple of Amma and General Secretary of Amma’s ashram Swami Sri Poornamritananda Puri will grace the occasion.
The programmes on October 10 will include ‘gana homa’ (5 am), welcoming swamiji with poorna kumbha (9 am), ‘Guru paduka pooja’ (9.15 am), ‘Amma’s message by swamiji and discourse’ (9.45 am), ‘Bhajan and arati’ (10.45 am), stage programme (11.30 am).
District-in-Charge Minister Krishna Palemar, MLA Yogish Bhat will be the chief guests.
