The deferment of country’s raw cotton exports by a month at a recent high-level meeting in Delhi (cotton exports have been planned after November 1), was against the backdrop of cotton crop arrivals in the market, he said.
Briefing reporters, he said as good volume of arrivals of cotton crop in the market was now expected this year, domestic industry’s requirement of 260 lakh bales could be met.
