Lakshman was arrested while accepting the bribe from Vishwanath, a pharmacist, who had lodged a complaint with the Lokayukta.
Officials said that Reddy had asked Vishwanath to pay Rs 4,000 for selling medicine without the maximum retail price on them and had in turn assured him that action will not be taken.
