Talking at the Janaspandana programme organised at the Punganuru Cross of Srinivaspur taluk on Saturday, he instructed the officials to give priority to supply adequate drinking water and maintain sanitation in the City. He also suggested them to build compound at the schools by judiciously utilising the funds released through National Rural Employment Guarantee Programme.
He also instructed the officials to make certain that the eligible beneficiaries get the houses constructed under various housing schemes. He said that necessary funds has been released for the construction of roads in the rural area. Asaphaltation of Kolar road will be taken up at the earliest and added that he would hold a discussion with the officials over the power supply in the taluk.
Distributing benefits of government’s various schemes to the beneficiaries he called upon the public to take part in the janaspandana programmes and seek solution to their problems. He said that the programme can be successful only if both public and the officials co-operate. He also advised the officials to take responsibility to reach out the benefits provided by the government at the door steps of the beneficiaries.
ZP member Rajanna, tahsildar Manjunathswamy, taluk panchayat executive officer Prakash, zilla panchayat technical sub-division assistant executive engineer Nawab Pasha, taluk sericulture department assistant director Bhirappa, animal husbandry department assistant director Dr Ramananda, horticulture department senior assistant director B M Mallikarjuna and other officials spoke about the various benefits offered through their departments.
