“Maataade, maataade...” sings the hero while in search of the heroine. And music director Gandharva finally proves that his name is no accident in this slow, haunting number in Vichitra Premi (weird lover). The ghazal is easily the highlight of the film but for different reasons.
Cinematographer Renukumar fumbles with his equipment and spoils the experience - an affliction suffered by the entire film unit. The title and the plot are not related, conceptualisation, dialogues and their delivery are woefully below standard fare.
What could have been a straight, normal story turns into yet another exercise in self-control. Or perhaps, the makers were trying to justify the title!
