Vajpayee Housing Scheme gets 1,000 sites

Presiding over the Ashraya Samiti meeting at City Municipal Council hall he said that 1068 residential sites have been made in Indira Gandhi residential area and Gavanhalli which have been distributed to the beneficiaries. Under Vajpayee Housing Scheme government has decided to construct 300 houses during 2010-2011 and the list of beneficiaries has been already finalised, he said.

The meeting directed the Tahsildar to transfer 3 acres of land available at Uppali Rajiv Gandhi residential area for the purpose of Vajpayee Housing Scheme.

The meet resolved on regularising the houses of those who lack title deeds and yet reside in Ashraya houses. It was agreed to make residential sites in 2 acres of land available at Paravathipura near Thegooru and distribute them to the beneficiaries.

City Municiple Council President K Srinivas, City Commissioner V H Krishnamoorthy, Tahsildar Veena, Executive Engineer Thejamoorthy, Ashraya Committee members Manohar, Narayan Gowda were present.
