Essar Group appoints V Ashok as CFO

V Ashok had joined Essar Shipping in 1997 and has over two decades of experience in finance, accounts and audit in the manufacturing and service sectors.

Ashok was responsible for structuring and closely supporting the Shipping Business Group in its endeavour to evolve from a Shipping Company into a comprehensive Shipping, Ports & Logistics' Business, the company said in a statement.

Meanwhile, Raghavan will be associated with the group as a Special Advisor and will also continue to be on the GMC (Group Management Committee). Raghavan will be Essar's nominee on Boards of its several companies and will also be part of the various management and executive committees of the GMC, the statement added.
