Father, four sons booked for gangrape, blackmail in Nagpur

According to the woman, the incidents took place between June 2008 and September 2009.

The incident came to light after the victim, tired of constant demand for money and blackmailing by the accused, registered a complaint with Gittikhan Police Station yesterday.

As per the complaint, the victim had separated from her husband and children when she met one Abdul Mannan, who claimed that he will provide her with relief from mental agonies.

One day Mannan offered her an intoxicating drink and raped her in a city hotel. His four sons and three other persons joined him during the incident, police said. Manan's daughter-in-law was charged with facilitating the crime, they said.

The accused also took photographs her during the crime and used them to extorted money from the doctor. She claims to have already paid Rs 6.5 lakhs over a period of time due to blackmailing, police said.

No arrests were made even though cases were registered under relevant sections of the IPC.
