The change in its roadmap has also been influenced by alignment of its business from geography-based to vertical-based model from the financial year beginning August 2010.
“Our effort to reinvent the partnership with IT majors essentially driven by change in technology and the way it is consumed by businesses worldwide,” said Jagdish Mahapatra, Vice-President, ITS Sales, Cisco India & SAARC region.
Briefing reporters, he justified the change to vertical model — which is happening in Cisco after three years — saying it would help Cisco address the growth sectors effectively.
