Peddappaiah, Assistant Commissioner of Bhatkal in Karwar district, has now been appointed as the new Assistant Commissioner, and he will take charge on Monday.

Assistant Commissioner Archana had been serving in Kolar from July 2, 2007. It was said that she would be transferred during the assembly elections last year.
