Gundrugovi brings to mind several Tamil flicks of the late 70s and middle 80s, while hero Satya’s physique is that of Tiger Prabhakar! The trained artist in him gives full freedom to his expressions with a fine diction–pleasant to watch. Heroine Navyashri is the brimstone to Satya’s fire, her eyes doing the major part of her work.
The supporting cast have done their job well, considering that for many, it is a first outing in films. Neenasam Ashwath and Sharath Lohitashwa lend able support to them. The cinematography department leaves the music behind in capturing the glory of the rustic locales, but there is little to complain. A decent and clean attempt for the newcomers.
