Historians selected for Archaeology awards

 
They are, Prof S R Rao, Prof Srinivas H Ritti, Prof A Narasimhamurthy, Prof A Sundara, Dr M S Nagarajarao and Dr K Ramesh. They have been selected for the award considering their rich contributions in the field of archaelogy and museums.

In a press release here, R Gopal, director, Department of Archaeology and Museums said, a committee headed by Dr M Krishnappa was constituted for the selection of personalities for the award. The government has approved the list sent by the selection committee. The award carries Rs one lakh and a citation. The awards will be presented by Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa at a function to be held soon.
